Dear colleague, It is our pleasure to introduce the first published articles from PRX Life, the American Physical Society's new interdisciplinary, open-access journal exclusively for quantitative biological research. PRX Life is a home in the Physical Review family of journals for communities working at the interface of physics and the living world. It is designed to give this vibrant and dynamic research a voice, enhance the visibility of the best results across departments through open access, promote the collaborative exchange of ideas with a personalized and rigorous review process, and inspire new generations of researchers with Perspectives and Reviews. Building on the excellence of Physical Review X, PRX Life is a highly selective journal featuring research with lasting impact. PRX Life publishes research at all scales — from individual proteins to cellular dynamics to neuroscience and ecosystems. It also considers research articles that describe new methodologies and use tools from engineering, computer science, and mathematics. Below find links to the first three published articles along with an Editorial from myself and managing editor, Serena Bradde. With the journal being open access, all articles are free to read and download. | Sign up for journal alerts to receive the latest from PRX Life every month. | We invite you to help us continue to build this journal by submitting your research. APS will pay all article publication charges (APCs) until 2024. Sincerely, Margaret Gardel, Lead Editor, PRX Life University of Chicago | | | |
